Back in 2016, Lexar announced a 1TB SDXC Memory Card, but the card never made it to market…until today! Lexar just announced at CES 2019 that this new card will now be available for purchase.

The Lexar 1TB 633x SDXC UHS-I card features a read speed of up to 95MB/s and a video recording speed class of V30 (this means it has a sustained write speed of 30MB/s continuous video recording).

“Almost 15 years ago, Lexar announced a 1GB SD card. Today, we are excited to announce 1TB of storage capacity in the same convenient form factor", said Joey Lopez, Senior Marketing Manager. "As consumers continue to demand greater storage for their cameras, the combination of high-speed performance with a 1TBoption now offers a solution for content creators who shoot large volumes of high-resolution images and 4K video."

Around two years ago, Lexar disclosed that the brand was being discontinued before Chinese company Longsys bought it.  In 2018, they announced the return of Lexar, and it seems they are trying to re-bolster the brand decisively in the storage market with this move.
